About
Norma Solis, DNP, APRN-C, earned her Master’s Degree in Nursing Education in 2012, a Post-Master’s Certificate in Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner in 2014, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Miami. As a nurse practitioner in gastroenterology, she developed a subspecialty focus in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), working closely with leading experts to provide advanced, research-driven care. She subsequently became a sub-investigator on multiple clinical trials in IBD, and her expertise has led to presentations at both regional and national conferences. In 2016, she joined the University of Miami as an adjunct professor in its graduate programs. She is also actively involved in medical missions to the Dominican Republic, delivering compassionate care to underserved communities. Her research interests include the development of nurse practitioner fellowship programs designed to equip new graduates with advanced didactic training and focused clinical experience, enabling them to deliver high-quality care across specialties.
