Jessica Figueroa, PA-C, is the lead inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) advanced practice provider (APP) at Midwest Digestive Health and Nutrition in Hinsdale, IL. She holds four years of clinical experience in both the academic and community setting where she has held an integral role on the treatment team of thousands of IBD patients. Her passion for treating moderate-severe and complex IBD patients is demonstrated through her support of patient advocacy while leveraging technology to patients’ and providers’ benefit. She earned her PA degree at Valparaiso University and completed a doctoral degree at Butler University, centering her postgraduate research on the importance of delivering language concordant care. She has brought her unique knowledge to the clinical education setting within the Hispanic population where her effort has improved disease state knowledge, treatment options, and disease related complication awareness and prevention strategies in this subset population.
