Gabriella McCarty, NP, is a dedicated gastroenterology and hepatology nurse practitioner with over 26 years of experience. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Ashland University in 2025 and her Master of Science in Nursing, along with her nurse practitioner certification, from Case Western Reserve University in 2004. Gabriella is actively involved in advancing education and practice in her field. She serves as an Ambassador for Gastroenterology/Hepatology Advanced Practice Providers (GHAPP), contributes to the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG) Education Subcommittee, and volunteers as a reviewer for the ACG Editorial Board. Her professional passions include all aspects of GI and hepatology, as well as teaching and mentoring within nursing and advanced practice. Outside of work, Gabriella enjoys an active and family-centered life. She lives in Ohio with her husband, two children, two French bulldogs, and a bearded dragon. In her free time, she loves traveling, reading, and staying active—especially training for triathlons. She has completed multiple half Ironman races and is working toward her goal of completing a full Ironman at age 50.
