About

Chantil Jeffreys, DNP, MSN, FNP, JD, M. Psych, launched her distinguished healthcare career as a registered nurse in 1995. She initially practiced in oncology and later expanded her clinical expertise to the cardiac service lines, including critical care units and the gastrointestinal (GI) laboratory. These early experiences established a strong clinical foundation across complex inpatient and procedural care settings. In 2002, Dr. Jeffreys earned a Master of Science in Nursing and became board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Since that time, she has dedicated her nurse practitioner career to the field of gastroenterology, providing comprehensive care across a wide spectrum of GI conditions. Committed to advanced clinical practice and leadership, Dr. Jeffreys completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree in 2010. She further broadened her professional expertise by earning a Juris Doctor from Purdue University Global/Concord Law School in 2016, with focused elective coursework in healthcare law. In December 2025, she completed a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology to enhance her understanding of the interplay between gastrointestinal disease and psychological factors. This interdisciplinary training supports her holistic approach to patient care at Gastro One. Dr. Jeffreys currently provides clinical care to gastroenterology patients and serves as a sub-investigator on numerous clinical research trials at Gastro One. Her clinical and research interests include inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), liver disease, gastroparesis, and hemorrhoidal banding procedures. In addition to her clinical and research roles, Dr. Jeffreys is actively engaged in professional education and leadership. She serves on faculty with the Gastroenterology and Hepatology Advanced Practice Providers (GHAPP) organization and has Chair of the Advanced Practice Provider sessions for the annual Music City GI and Liver Conference.
