About

Carly Koelsch, NP-C, is an Adult Registered Nurse Practitioner based in Sarasota, Florida, with over 16 years of experience in general gastroenterology and more than 13 years specializing in inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD). She earned her Bachelor and Master of Science in Nursing with honors from the University of South Florida’s Graduate College of Nursing between 2007 and 2010. Currently practicing at Gastroenterology of Sarasota since October 2014, she focuses on the diagnosis, treatment, and management of gastrointestinal conditions, with particular expertise in IBD and pancreatobiliary disorders. Throughout her career, she has also held positions with Florida Digestive Health Specialists, Massachusetts General Hospital in gynecology/oncology nursing, and Sarasota Memorial Hospital, where she provided acute care across a wide range of patient populations and served in a rotating charge nurse role. In addition to her clinical work, Carly is a dedicated advocate for education and professional development within the IBD field, actively supporting advanced practice providers (APPs) in delivering high-quality care. She has extensive speaking and advisory experience, participating in speaker bureaus and advisory boards for organizations such as AbbVie, Bristol Myers Squibb, and Eli Lilly, and presenting at numerous conferences including the Ins and Outs IBD Conference at the University of Miami and APP Institute/AIBD events. Her professional affiliations include membership in the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation, certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (NP-C), and involvement with the Sarasota Chapter of the Florida Council of Advanced Practice Nurses. She has also attended and contributed to major conferences such as Advances in Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (AIBD), the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG) meeting, and the GHAPP Leadership Summit.
