Bonnie Mohler, NP-C, is an experienced nursing professional with over 25 years in the field, demonstrating a well-rounded career that spans clinical practice, education, and mentorship, with a focus on inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and a specialization in Crohn’s disease. She began her nursing journey after graduating from Kent State University in 1997, initially working in intensive care before advancing her education. She earned her Adult Nurse Practitioner degree from The University of Akron in 2006, after which she practiced in primary care for two years before transitioning into gastroenterology in 2009, a specialty that has remained her professional passion. She currently practices at Akron Digestive Health in Akron, Ohio. In addition to her clinical expertise, Bonnie has been actively engaged in professional education since 2011, serving as a speaker for pharmaceutical programs and educating healthcare providers on gastroenterology treatments and disease states. Her commitment to mentorship and professional development led to her recent involvement with an Advanced Practice Provider focused committee through the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG), where she contributes to mentoring initiatives.
